How it works
1

Add it to your site or AI. You set the limits.

2

We talk

They hit cancel. We ask why and find a fair offer.

3

Pay only if they stay

They accept, then pay again. No stay, no cut.

Ask the question that changes the offer.

“It costs too much.”
Is the budget tight for a while, or is the plan too big? Compare a temporary reduction with an approved smaller plan.
“I’m not getting enough from it.”
Is something useful out of reach? Match attempted features to an approved premium trial. Make the end date and return to the original plan explicit.
“I’ve been here a long time.”
Consider tenure, past offers and recent activity. An approved free period can give a loyal customer time to try again without a permanent discount.
“I just want to cancel.”
Stop negotiating. Cancel renewal and show when access ends. Feedback is optional; there is no surprise final offer or follow-up email.

Inside the decision

Listen first.
Make the right offer.

Same offer limits. Different customer. Different next step.

Interactive example, using the actual policy engine. Not a real customer or measured result.

430 days subscribed€29/monthNo previous discount
“I don’t use it enough anymore.”

Fat Cat’s next step

It makes sense to reconsider when you’re using it less. You’ve been with us a while. Let’s make the next step useful for you. You can take 14 days free or pause billing for 30 days. Is this a short break, or has what you need changed?

Take 14 days freeYour next renewal is delayed by 14 days. Then €29.00/month resumes automatically. No charge today.
Pause billing for 30 daysNo new invoices will be collected for 30 days. Access stays available. Billing resumes automatically at €29.00/month; invoices from before the pause remain due.

Why this choice?

An established customer without prior discounts may benefit from time to try again. Recommend the approved free period before a longer pause. This is a customer-fit rule, not a measured retention claim.

Rules baseline. More matched outcomes are needed for forecasts. No confidence score is shown without evidence.

Meet Greedy Cat. The decision behind the conversation.

01 · Understand
Listen for price, low usage, a missing feature or a temporary break. Ask one useful question when it changes the next step.
02 · Choose
Compare the customer’s tenure, plan, usage and past offers. Your discount limits, minimum price and allowed benefits always come first.
03 · Negotiate
Trade price against duration. Offer a pause, free time, a smaller plan or help when those fit better. Never promise a feature you haven’t approved.
04 · Learn
Record which option was offered and accepted, then check paid continuation, refunds and 30/60/90-day outcomes. A click is not a save.

The engine currently uses merchant rules and observed cohorts when enough data exists. Custom trained recommendations must pass offline evaluation before release. We do not claim measured retention lift yet.

What data does Greedy Cat use?

Your billing facts, the customer’s stated reason and product events your backend supplies: tenure, recent use, attempted features, support issues and past offers. It does not search someone’s personal life for pressure points. The conversation model explains approved choices; the decision engine sets the boundaries.

Today, rules choose before there are enough verified outcomes. Matched historical cohorts can inform forecasts after at least 30 distinct customers per option. Those forecasts are not proof that Fat Cat caused the customer to stay. Holdouts and paid outcomes provide that evidence.
